Default popping out of 4th gear

Hi Guys,
I have a 07 rubicon unlimited JK manual and from time to time i have had issues with the gear stick popping out of 4th gear only while driving. It doesnt happen all the time but happens enough to be annoying. I will probably have to get Jeep to check it out. Has anyone else had this issue or know what causes it to happen?
thanks

I haven't, however whenever I depress the clutch when changing from 1st gear to Neutral, or from 1st Gear to 2nd - I get this clicking/clanking sound. Every other gear is fine. Seems to be when the rev range is still low.... I'm a newbie so I dunno if this is normal for the JK?

I have had this problem once or twice with 2nd gear... but that was my fault, getting lazy with my gear changes, not putting it fully in gear

re noise changing gears - that sounds like a clutch issue, needs to be adjusted slightly to fully disengage.

re gear popping out, there are a few causes, it could be crap oil. It could also be a synco issue... generally there is a counterweight that locks the syhnco in a box this new - I assume its sticking thus not locking the synco. Which COULD come back to crap oil or debres in the oil.

Definately take it back to the dealer to have sorted - its NOT normal (both issues).

it's not normal, it's a faulty gearbox. take it back and good luck with the dealer.

mine has 20k now and has done ir from new and still does it. i have noticed that it is worst when the box is cold and improves as the engine and box warm up. the clinking sound goes with the feel of a rough change as it goes into second, but it goes away as the box warms up. i think it is a synchro problem in a cold box. the clanking sound i also get. this is a clutch issue. but it also goes way as the engine warms up. usually. it is a heavy box and the noise can be avoided by using slow deliberate changes till the box warms up. you can promote the clanking sound by pulling the stick back before the clutch is fully disengaged. first is very low and you need to rev in first, ease foot off accelerator, clutch to floor, then change stick to second slowly and feel it through into gear. as the box warms up it should be easier. but this is not a light car box, it is a heavy 4wd box and needs to be treated accordingly. it will never handle like a sports car. there have been some issues with the clutch in the u.s. so treat it with respect. i know of one low mileage sport with a collapsed thrust bearing already. but it has been regularly worked hard on beach runs with our jeep club. 1st to second is not an easy change, take it easy and feel it through, don't rush it. my box is exactly the same as yours.
