I quite often get the fuel light on before fill up but depends on how far to the next servo. I've even done 30k plus on the fuel light but don't think I've ever got much over 60 litres worth in there however.
heck mine sits on 2100rpm at 100km/h with 235's instead of the factory 225's
My KJ diesel that I just bought sits on around 1800 at that speed.

Man I want this economy lol. When do you guys fill up? I generally fill up at a 1/4 left, when the light goes solid....

I do the same, put between 55-60 litres in, get 320-360km, fair few short trips
Thats 16L/100 if I'm lucky, (better than my previous Jackaroo), petrol 4wds are thirsty...my V345 Inter used to get 12mpg on petrol, less on gas

It's just a pain in the ass at the moment. My Clio sport is off the road as I did the gearbox in it, and it does 600km to 35l on 98 lol so I am not overly used to this garbage economy... Especially that it won't get better on the fwy... Gonna pump my tyres to like 34-36 psi and see how I go

it will get better economy on the freeway, but NOT if you do 100kmph
80-90km yes,,,its to do with aerodynamics, bad on boxy 4wds
in theory, any engine designed to run on 91, you are absolutely wasting money running higher octane fuel.
I did an experiment with 10 tanks of both, and had a slight improvement, but outweighed by additional cost of 95
I run my tyres 34psi all round
my Mrs 2.0L Mazda gets more than twice the economy of mine, however, annual depreciation means they cost the same

"its to do with aerodynamics, bad on boxy 4wds"......... that's for sure before the jeep we had a ED Falcon Wagon it was a 4 litre and auto like the jeep but long and aerodynamic it was amazing on the highway keep it on 100 kph great on fuel BUT get into the big smoke and it would use a tank of fuel going to the shops and back
you can tell what a box the jeep is when you are cruising down the road at 100 kph and a triple B Double Road train goes past the other way pushing some serious air BAM! hits a lot harder than a aerodynamic car

Ahhh okay.... I dont wanna be a prick that does 80 in a 110 zone lol....
And the clio is a sport so designed on 95 but I have it tuned to 98 lol so its 98 or bust costs stuff all to fill anyway.....
I just checked pressures, 25-27 psi....... up at 34 now lol... couldnt have helped!!!!!!! Wrecked my tyres a bit too
ahahah and its not XJ I wanna do an engine swap on mine eventually..... like a barra or LS or something. Or maybe even a nice fuel miser diesel.......

me either, so I just suck up that fuel
engine swaps cost a bomb, with engineering, electrical, even if you can do most of it yourself, good engine cost a few grand
In addition, known swaps like LS1 or stroker wont cut your fuel bill
dude on here was doing a 3.0L Toyota swap, they also run an AW4
they are one hell of a sweet engine, and would probably save fuel, with no loss of power,,,never read he finished it though...
