Hey guys, anyone else with failure details to add?
If you know someone who's had a failure, please point them in this direction.
It would be good to get a decent list going.
Thanks

I was really hoping we'd get a lot more replies to this...
It's always touted as a big deal but only a few people have actually populated their details.
Another question I was thinking, "was the Jeep on cruise control when the failure occurred or was it on cruise for any significant duration before the failure".
I've noticed my CRD will hold the gear and 'lug' a lot longer on cruise, which certainly feels like the engine is labouring a lot more

I was driving 110km/h had slightly higher coolant temps. 112C in 30C temps. Then followed by a loud ticking noise.

Hi guys from Greece. My kk crd (with the same engine as yours) died at 148.000 kms. I dont know why. I was just cruising at 120 and the same ticking started. Dont remember which cylinder failed, I must ask my mechanic but I think is the same problem just like you. I am sure that at least 5 same engines failed. I changed mine and found one with 4.000 kms on the clock. Note: no ecu tune or something else on my engine, just litlle bigger tires.
