Hi guys

I know this is an old thread but I’ve acquired a 1990 mahindra bushranger. Need a few things repaired before re registering. Particularly a rear tailgate due to rust. Has anyone any access to spares for these?

Cheers

Default Mahindra parts

I just found Zeppy.io. If you google them and select shop online, enter Mahindra cj in the search engine then heaps of parts come up.

For body panels etc I highly recommend Neil at Marathon Spares in NSW I just purchased new fenders and a windscreen. Excellent service at great prices.

Original Mahindra tailgates are well known for rusting out, they are also a bit too heavy and many of the mindy cj's I have checked out have cracking sheetmetal near the hinges from the stress of the heavy tailgate + spare wheel.

Marathon's have repro willys tailgates - but you will also need to buy the hinge blocks and bolts, and either buy or make the shackle brackets that go each side of the tub to mate up with those on the tailgate.

The quality control bloke in the factory must have been on smoko when they made the hinge blocks - damn things need a lot of filing to get them to fit!

Only downside of the Willys tailgate is you will need to find somewhere to hang the spare wheel [olde schoole had them hanging on the side.]
