hahaha are they that bad?
Sounds similar to comments I once read in a story about modifications to 4 wheel drives. They said the first mod to make to your Mahindra was remove the number plates, that way you only drove it off road, where it excelled.

Another story in JP magazine said if you want an "old style" Jeep that is only 20 years old and not 50, look at the Mahindra.

These reasons are why I have one.

I can't agree more , it is all about the pleasure You get out of it ! I have a new Wrangler which is great for going anywhere fast , a CJ3B Willys for going anywhere not so fast , and a Mahindra CJ for going even slower ! But Indian-one in bits and pieces , needing a diesel-pump and instrument-cluster , any ideas ?

My service manual says the pump is an Indian made Bosch - I will scan the page with part numbers etc.

Default Mahindra Starter Motor Needed

Guys

I am trying to track down a good second hand starter motor for a Mahindra owned by a friend. Can any of you guys suggest where I might find one?

Regards

Rod

Hi Rod, the Mahindra Register forum has an alternate parts listing

Quote:
Starter motor
Peugeot 001362045
Bosch 011030(shorter)
You could try a peugeot spare parts desk to see what other vehicles may have used it and then hit the wreckers. Is it dead dead or just suffering mud abuse etc. If the latter, just pull it apart, clean and grease and see if its happier. Lots of TJ starters have been "revived" this way.

Send your friend to http://www.mahindra-register.org but you need to register to get to most of the site.
