Default 8.8 and diff gear questions

Well searching sadly hasnt answer a few questions completly for me

Anyone who has done a ford 8.8 swap where in australia or post to australia did you find the adapter flange for drive shaft.

What brand 4.10 gears are people running in there dana 30 and which ones do i actauly need because im finding a few being listed for them but long, short, high pinion and low pinion all shouldnt fit one diff should it? Also where did you order them from

Don't know about locally but iron rock off road sells the adapter for $35usd and they ship to aus. Your gears will depend on what model dana 30 you have eg high or low pinion? Typically anything under 2000 model will have a high pinion d30. Iron rock sell G2 gear sets for Cherokees it might be worth finding out how much there shipping is and combine both parts to save some coin!

It's been a little while but I'm pretty sure I used a uni' that had the dana35 size caps on one half & the ford 8.8 on the other.
No need for an adapter, the uni' IS the adapter utilizing the original ford 8.8 diff flange.

I bought the Iron Rock Kit for other bits:

I got all my gear from Knowwhere2jeep.com . But they seem to having trouble with their site at the moment...

I'm running the G2 gears in my d35 (yes I know it's a different diff) which I got from IRO along with the matching snazzy cover with drain plug,




Just be aware that to go to 3.73's on (4.1 etc) you need to change the carrier in the d30, I found out the hard way!!!

That mean im best off finding a diesel diff to regear?
