Default humming noise

Howdy people, I was thinking of buying the wife a mall crawler, I took a 2016 anniversary renegade for a spin, at 110km i can hear a humm coming from the jeep, not sure if it just the type of tyre or does anyone know of any wheel or other problems the renegade might have that could cause a huming noise?

Is it definitely coming from the tires?

At that speed I would think it would be wind action resonating around some section - just like blowing over the top of a bottle. If it doesn't happen above or below 110 km/hr I would think you're okay.

With a warranty I would feel better - if it isn't wind noise through a missing rivet or around a rogue hose it could be wheel bearings or driveshaft U-joints or something like that. But, if the noise doesn't cause vibrations my first notion is just wind.

If you are buying maybe bring it to a shop for a check and ask them to have a look at the front driveshaft, U-Joints/sleeves and check the diff oil etc. Can't hurt and in the long run a few bucks there could save you heaps of trouble if it isn't just jeep farts.

Good luck!
