Default 2005 GC New Key Fob Programming

Hi guys,

I have 2 new keys cut today, and was trying to program the chip and remote in the way it says on the web, but it won't work.

Any suggestions? Programming directions below:

Cheers,

Robert

Hi,

I have not tried programming extra keys that way as I only had one original key. I did program a spare key with an Autel MaxiCOM MK808 with no problems though on my 2007 GC CRD. If I get a chance I will check to see if appcar DiagFCA can program keys. This probably doesn't help you much if you haven't got these readers or windows program.

I hope to do mine via the DiagFCA as says it can be done.

Hi.
I have read a few reports on the Brit Jeep forums that the Appcar works fine on key programming.

Hey guys,
Anyone have anymore info on the WH spare key.
I’ve just bought this one..
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/113459209405

Its 433mhz with the id46 chipset.
So planning on getting it cut first.
Then using JScan to get the pin and hopefully program transponder to the car.
JScan is running a Beta program, so hopefully works.

But not sure on programming the fob so that central locking works.
Has any one been through the whole process of successfully doing it all themselves?
Aps used, link to key purchased, frequency, weather the two key trick worked etc...
Any help appreciated.
This will be an extra spare for the daughters car. I have the plastic fob that goes in the ignition on the left side for my 2010, so if any one has any info on those as well.

Cheers,

Hi,

I purchased one similarly on eBay from China in about 2019 which doesn't link in eBay anymore and had it cut at mister mint and got the PIN from a jeep dealer and used an Autel MK808 to program with no problems. I have not tried any other apps to see if they work as yet but do have one I need to program from
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/152796191714.
This was on a 2007 GC CRD.
