Does the alloy spare fit in the spare wheel well?

Yes, the alloy OEM wheel fits in the spare space. I have an LT265/65-17 D697 on it. The false floor sits a tiny bit higher, but, strangely, the false floor I use with the fridge slide and compressor/air tank does not.

The tank is a very neat job.

Cheers

Just fitted my pair of front recovery hooks - I'll use the tow hitch receiver at the back.

A mate who is a fabricator made them up for me.

They are similar to the Jeep Australia single one in that they fit behind the plastic covers. Mine have a bit wider/deeper hook and are welded instead of bolted.

They use the same mounting bolts as the Jeep one and also the tow hook on the driver's side.

I powder coated them bright yellow to make them easy to see.

Rough state:

Compare:

The pair, powder coated:

Driver's side, bolted in:

Passenger side, airdam on:

He can make more, if people want them. He is pricing them up now and I will let you know. My guess is two will cost less than the single Jeep one...

Now I have two front recovery points for the Coongie Lakes trip in a couple of weeks!

Cheers

Look great, well done. Never to be thwarted by dealerships and key aftermarket suppliers that don't serm to want to support our model Jeep, (mostly with 3 letters in their brand), we just build our own. Great outcome.

Excellent work mate!

Plus they look much much better than the OEM ones.

I hope he sells good, well deserving.
