Aim to pick up some replacement diff fluid and drop the fluid tomorrow after the show and shine to check for damage so we can at least get it home with front wheel traction on Monday.
Can't be f'd going to an 8.8 just yet, looking for a D35 to bolt in for now.

Had a chat with Eddy the onsite mechanic, sounds like a spider gear has a tooth or two missing.

Default Big day

Started at 6.30 in morning
Stripped down and replaced a cracked exhaust manifold with a new stainless
extractor $259 including freight
While this was off I noticed left hand engine mount shagged totally , like the metal bush was completely torn free , explains some of the funny clunks I was hearing that I thought were coming from front end
Rung 4 different Jeep places , all closed , about to give up when I remembered Repco had been able to supply some Jeep stuff in the past
Sure enough they had them in stock and to top it off they had a 25% off sale , price $51
Finished up at 6.00 pm with everything fitted and running well with no exhaust leaks
Hardest part was reaching the back two bolts on manifold
Not a job I want to do again too soon but at least its done
Cheers Sandman

Hi guys.
I have lost my torque converter lockup in third and fourth gear today as soon as I started driving home from Jambo.
Can anybody give me any idea where to start to look what's up.

Thanks Rusty

Probably look in the transmission HAR HAR HAR

either lock solenoid or torque converter itself

Thanks RB.
My trans seems fine in all other respects.
Is there a torque converter lockup solenoid? I know there is about three of em. What do they do?
The trans did get a bit of a workout at Jambo.
