Default Re Flash tuning JK TJ Petrol

I run a chassis dyno for a living and have done for over 15 years, I am know in the 4x4 community and tune most 4x4's and cars. I and am considering purchasing the software to tune the Petrol Jeeps, It is a large expense so I am interested to see if people are looking for performance and economy gains from their Jeeps and whether they would pay the $1500 odd dollars it would cost for the tuner box (similar to the Ford for those who know) and custom dyno tuning. the Flash boxes are available with tunes but generally these generic tunes are far from ideal.

Any feedback would be appreciated before I invest in the tuning software.

Regards

Joel

JK v6 is gutless unless placed into 2dr with manual transmission, tuned or not tuned.

Tune it and simply engine will die quicker than they are already.

So bit of a waste of time.

How much "pontential" can we expect from such an expence?

I know a lot of time is required for these kinds of tunes, but a simmilar service is already available from SuperChips. They have devices that "overwrite" the stock tune. If the tune they provide causes issues, they just send you an updated tune.

Cost of a superchips unit is about $300 and it also provides other features which come in very handy.

How will your system differ?

Not trying to discourage you as I am very interested, but considering the cost differences I would like to know how your product will improve over what is already on the market.

Having spent a fair bit of time with my JK on the 4WD dyno using the Superchips programmer.... i'd say the potential is pretty limited. The Superchips programmer does its job - but overall its a pretty small gain.

If the Superchips system didn't allow me to change speedo, type pressures, do diagnostics etc etc, and was just a tuner i'd not be happy.

Not trying to be negative....... I just don't think the return on your investment is going to be there.
