Default Looking At 2007 Unlimited CRD Auto

Hi Guys, this more then likely has been asked before but I am seriously looking at a 2007 JK wrangler CRD Auto and my wife wonts to now what problems we can expect to have.
My concern-How many JK have had overheating issues Motor or Auto when in soft sand and towing
Or is this limited to the unlucky few or those with blocked radiators from Mud running.
Any other problems that they have made the vehicle not able to be driven home on its own steam and have dealer check at service.
I can put up with little things i have read re Turbo hoses ,Rear seat belt tensioners and the like and some loose bolts etc as this is as they say a jeep thing and i can look at straight away.
But i do like some sense of reliability for the majour items.
Look forward to responses either way.
Thanks in advance.

I have a 2007 CRD 4 door auto and when you look at it I've not had that much trouble with it...but in saying that it will be 2 years old next week and only has 30000klms on the dial as I don't use it much these days....I was planning on buying another Jeep in 2012 like the new Grand but I think I'm over the Jeeps now as I want a good tourer to travel around Oz...and my trust is not just there with the Jeep.

I'm not trying to put it down as I do like the JK but IMHO I wouldn't take it on a long haul.

I have done 70000 in mine, travelled all over aus, never had issues with blown hoses or the like, its luck of the draw. The jk auto crd is awesome in sand the torque is awesome. Bonus with the 07 is it has 4.10 ratios.

Buy one, they are awesome, no opposition out there to a 4 door 4by convertible at the end of the day. Thats why I bought one, fell in love, and now about to lose my house by starting my own business dealing with em!!!

Yep same goes for me too.
Had mine just over 2 yearsand 40 tho k's, no major issues.
Done a few long hauls on bitumen to sydney and coober from adelaide, drives nice.
Also done a mega trip accross the simmo and the diesel and auto combination kicked arse accross the 1100 odd dunes and ate big red with ease.
You wont regret the purchase!!!!!

We have had our's for 2 years and done over 60,000 k so far a lot of it towing and only had minor electrical problems so far,crd auto is great for sand and towing and we are very happy I think the ratio's in the later models may be a bit high so 07 is a good choice

I have an 08 4 door crd auto which we drove from perth to port douglas and have had no issue except for a bulging battery and the wrong fuel filler which is now fixed. the Jeep is a great tourer . As redgp said you may need to fix a few things but thats with all cars now days.

Ps. this is my second JK first one lasted for 6000kays, but I will not say much about the first one that died. That had more to do with the dealers and not the car, but that is another story.
