This is a major problem for everyone who is involved in the manufacturing industry. Once things are outsourced to China or sold to China, before too long fakes immediately appear. I know of some instances where the Chinese have created fake products directly out of the factories which were manufacturing the originals. It is all very dodgy.

It is all buyer beware these days with everything you buy. Likewise, it is also buyer beware for a lot of small business operators. Small businesses have been stung more than once because of fakes.

Hi Yom

This may answer your question.
Taken from the Group Buy Thread!!

http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...=109320&page=2

My Receipt clearly states AEV JK Front Bumper.

Pictures included, Pictures on cardboard in garage are the ones I took before it was shipped back and pictures taken outside are of the bar on ebay now that some poor person (fellow Jeeper) is going to pay around $1000 for and receive a piece of crap, both as a copy AEV Bar and one with an un-straight top tube going rusty. Still packaged the same as when I packaged it, un-believable, I was going to just accept that I had been scammed but after I saw this on ebay it quickly changed my mind!!
If the Seller knew this was an original AEV then surely he would have mentioned it in the advert as a JK AEV Bumper and not as a JK wrangler Bumper, makes me sick to the bone!!

This is the last time I will be using corradog60 , will contact all friends with my new name. Cheers Guys and be aware of what you buy!!

I thought that group buy seemed too cheap

That bumper can be salvaged. Cutting the top hoop off, blasting and repowder coating.

This is why Corrodog60 as made this post, to inform others that there are vendors on here flogging off unlicenced and copy product. What a pathetic excuse for a business case.

Question

People forget that the mainland Chinese are communists ! - that's right folks, COMMUNISTS !
They officially do not recognise intellectual property rights or patents. Religion is illegal and banned....yet greedy manufacturers to squeeze the extra dollar to survive continue to embrace this crap action rather than outsource to nearer/closer low cost countries that might share closer ideaology ?
Reap what you sow, Bro.....
