ShortyB,

I would be extremely surpised if it is indeed a D35 in the front (and that too only in Australia), even with automatics. I think its a website stuff up.

All other referencing (other than Australian Jeep) that I have seen says either D30 or D44 in the front. Which is what the case is with TJ, obviously different widths and all.

Did YOU read his link properly - it clearly says:
"The next generation Dana 35 solid rear axle" on page 2.
" — Next Generation 35 solid (included with automatic transmission)" UNDER Rear Axles on page 6.

Just because on the Jeep AU site it says front suggests to me that the silly marketing chick that wrote it has NFI....

wooders what would you say to do to a jeep that has a 3" lift and 33 eg frount diff and gearing its a 07 modle and have done the frount once befor so realy dont feel like doing another one ex if im a few km on the beach at straddy and need to play for jeep ass to come get me

I can't "prove" anything - but each of the damaged axles I've seen have appeared to have a very porous break surface, which I would normally associate with poor quality casting/metal.
We've got chromoly shafts coming in right now. These are a direct factory replacement but much stronger.

ok sweet they b easy to install im gessing or not realy and have u heard of any fly weel conversions to solid fly weels im haveing major problems with mine on my 4th one have u heard of any problems like this

Thanks Wooders, I knew I was not day dreaming when I read the brochure!

Axle u-joints breaking is a separate issue.

but wouldnt u class that as a frount diff issue as its breaking i mean they bring out a 40k+ car and the ujoint isnt up to the task what else isnt
