I think theres a bend there isn't there? Looks like theres majority rusty coloured metal in the break so has been split for a while. Was just waiting to fail - something else to check for now!

Yes cracked at the bend, traction & stability lights been on the dash & steering wheels been off centre for a while, I had been blaming a bent tie rod, lights are out now & the steering wheel is straight again,
another thing to check when you think you have front end troubles
