Yes, just check out the FSM for the wiring details, pretty easy to do..

Given I have a 1996, do you know of the 1995, or 1997 would be closer?
Any luck with the scans you were doing, any chance of the diagram from it?

I have the 96 FSM all scanned now....

Got it done, traced it out with the multimeter.
Simply a matter of finding which ones are power in the plug, it looks like there is an accessory feed, and a number of constants. That left a couple of unknowns.
I left the meter touching these, and flicked the door lock switch. When I found the one that got a pulse on lock / unlock that is the trigger wire for which ever way you pressed the button.
In my case, I found that a diode was needed on the triggers from the new box, but other than that it was pretty easy. Took about an hour all told, including figuring out which wire was what, and a bit of troubleshooting to realise I needed the diodes.
