Default installing factory cruise

Hi people, i just got hold of a 95 xj and want to put factory cruise into it. I got hold of the solonoid/cable and the switch panel for my steering wheel and the clockspring from it as well cause my clockspring does not have the wires for the switch. The airbag in the car i got it from has gone off so does this mean the clockspring is no good or can i still use it?
cheers

normal practice is to replace the clock spring if the airbag has detonated. You could always try it if you feel brave. The chances are if it is no good the airbag light will stay on and the horn will not work.

whenever you are working with airbags you should always dis connect the battery for at least a minute prior to trying to work on it and yes you should start the vehicle standing outside

Just for thought. USA Airbags go off with a bigger bang because yanks don't want to use seatbelts. These airbags have killed people when they go off.

Aus= 180fps
USA= 220+
so yes be carefull
it's very easy to break a nose or more at 180fps
can't imagine 220fps.
I would definatly replace the spring set up.

Any ideas where to grab a clockspring for a reasonable price?
