Will be maintaining the CJ chassis, tube, bonnet and grill, everything else will be removed. The tunnel will be brought up in height, rear floor removed, rear quarter sections will be sheet metal, windscreen frame removed, then the rest will be tubed ie front guard, stinger, shock hoops, internal cage etc.
Design, well it will be a culmination of what i have learnt from the XJ and ideas sourced from the US Rockcrawling scene.
Looking at a Atlas 2, 9" and 44, trailready beadlocks, 38" krawlers, 3 winches, fuel cell, prob holden V8 (cheap), hydro steer etc.
Got some big plans, and with any luck will be a budget build.

dovetail rear?
coils? leaf? air shocks? coilovers?
3, 4, or 5 link?
krawlers are either 37's or 39.5's.
don't think they make 38's do they?
go the lexus v8
or rangie gear is cheap and the 4.6 is decent
hope you are bracing the CJ frame heaps
Sounds wicked, looking forward to the buildup pics and an article
Can I have the dana300 out of the CJ, and the dana 30 front axles?
hehe
get it!

yeah i know kralwers are 37.5, also looking at 39" iroks as possible. no to dovetail, eak, trying to keep the cj look there zach! either be air shocks or coilovers, havnt got that far yet but will be one of those.
its got a turbo400 in it also zach............and YES i am keeping it
everything else will be getting parted out as we remove it. keep an eye on forsale section if you are chasing parts from a cj7 wreck.
