You have the hand book & that's what it says so I would go with your info over what I found on the web, I'm always happy to get the right info out there
Early WJ had the same box & that's where I got ATF+4 from.

The handbook is clear for the ZG .. I always go with the book - see attached (1999).

I use DEX 3 and it works a treat without problems and no slippage.. and it's an old box but it is staying red after 40K so it is working.

If you read the reports from those that have used ATF + in these autos it gets interesting, from leaks to failures..
Remember that the manufacturer will always want to reduce inventory, so will find some thing else to use.. and do they care if an old one fails (ie. sell new car)?
Especially note regarding topping up with different ATF types.
