Hey Rusty IIRC you fitted a relocation bracket that attaches to the diff for the panhrad rod?
If so do you know how much it moved the diff by?

Just curious, JJ

Well guys its been a while since a update. Ive been full on at work doing 50hrs+ a week.

Have had no time for campin, wheelin, or anything else. Eat sleep work.

Anyway Got a chance to go out on a local trail on Australia day, I had a ball showin up all the big patrols on 35s with open diffs.

One big water/mud hole that Id been through twice before got me on the drive back out. I got stuck in water up to almost the center of the doors. The water stayed out for a few minutes, but all of a sudden it came pouring in. Anyway got pulled out and parked on a hill noise down and got all the water out, but now Im left with a wet carpet on the drivers side front and rear.

Im thinking of removing the seats, center console and remove the carpet. Id clean up the carpet and store it.

I saw alot of the guys from the states remove the carpet and use a roll on or spray on bedliner.

Is this a good Idea? I love how easy it would be to clean & the worry next time I get a little stuck in water.

What do you guys think? Ive been reading good things about monstaliner and raptor kits, but unsure whats available in Australia.

I'm going to keep an eye on your post. I'm also looking at possible removing all my carpet and spraying something down.

Took my little niece's out for a 4x4 after all the rain and this mud hole got me by surprised. It was on a track that had been graded but obviously with all the rain the fun ruts where still there just hidden by 2-3 foot of crusted over mud.

Anyway got all the carpet out before the trip. Originally I just had the driver seat in to get to work and back, but the kids really wanted to go out so all the seats went back in.

First thing I noticed with no carpets/seats was the noise. It doesnt bother me, but but engine noise and road noise is a little louder. The thing that did bother me was the heat, the car was defiantly hotter with just the driver seat in. Its alot better with the seats & rubber bucket matts in and hasn't been as bad driving to work and back.

The rear passenger floor pan being right above the exhaust gets so hot you could cook on it lol. I was worried the rubber mat would melt but it acts like a insulator and the mats just warm to touch.

I donno if bedliners have any insulating qualities but I was looking at a product call thermal shield to spray down before the bedliner. Its a ceramic insulating paint they use on housing roofs.

Removing the carpet will make the interior hot underfoot and a whole lot noisier, not great for the family (assuming that is your family in the last pic?)
