Sharpwrax I did the mod the Crazynuts way...less wire too look at and get confused with, used it the other day on the beach and it worked great and was very pleased with the results on sand.

Only "downside" is that you have to run a longer cable to the switch (big deal) but I relocated my siwtch INSIDE the centre console (under the armrest). Did it to avoid confusion with the spotlights switch

Hi crazy, planning on doing this on the weekend and have a question... Sorry if this is in one of the 156 posts here, my eyes are all squinty this time of night so didn't read them all.
Can you use a momentary switch to do this ? ie. hit if for a second or two and knock out ESP till next time to turn engine off an back on again ? I guess down side is you have to hit it every time after you start the engine, but that's also a positive that you don't have to remember to re-enable it...
Tks, Rob

Yes you can use a momentary switch if you desire. The only concern I would have is the fact that the voltage is being sent to the sensor DURING the "mod". It MAY produce some long term issues with putting the car in limp mode. I'd rather be on the safe side and reduce that possability, hence the use of a rocker switch.
I'm not saying it will definitely happen, but you never know (especiall with Jeeps).
That Purple/Light Blue wire is acually the + voltage running to the sensor. With that cable cut it essentially takes the circuit out of equasion.
