Angry Dpf issue

Hi guys

Needing some advice on a dpf error issue in the wk2.

I’ve been (for some time) getting a sensor 1 bank 1 issue on the wk2. I usually clear it and move on, however, lately it’s happening slot more frequently and becoming a multi time day.

I’ve fired up the alpha today and watched the gauges as I drove.

The dpf temp sensor appears to be working perfectly, sitting between 350-450 and spiking to 650 on a regen as expected.

Soot levels seems okay and sensors all working as expected.

The issue I have, is the pre catalyser exhaust gas temperature sensor is reading 999.941. So it ‘appears’ this sensor is shagged. I surmise that this sensor is causing the sensor 1 bank 1 error.

So 3 questions

1. Can anyone confirm their pre cat sensor shows data in alpha and I should see actual numbers

2. Anyone had this issue themselves?

3. Can anyone recommend a great Jeep mechanic in Bundaberg wide bay area, or in se qld?

Thanks very much

Anyone seems this before o

Give these guys a call & explain the problem:

All they do is wreck / service WK2's & will more than likely have an answer / part (auspost deliverable) to repair your problem.

Cheers

Only recommended Jeep Workshop in Qld is 7-Slot at Ormeau.
As TR Laredo said...All Grand Cherokee will diagnose over the phone and have the parts if needed.

Quite a few sensors will come up with a bogus figure, I think mine does the same with that sensor, not sure it actually has one............

Is the engine performance affected at all, if not then its more likely a glitch caused by a dirty contact though ensuring your using the correct oil for a DPF goes a long way, a minimum of a ACEA C3 oil is needed not a B3/B4 as some use..... ACEA C3, E6 or API CK4, CJ4 and of 5W40 at least....

Most important though what model of Grand as a WK and a WK2 are vastly different vehicles, always pays to put a year date as well.....
