Yeah, the ARB bar takes the Mopar tow hitch. It's reasonably high - I haven't hit it yet, but that may be due to the lift as well that went in at the same time. Photo:

If you get the ARB bar you'll get the number plate relocation kit from them.

The issue with the US-style mounting kit is that our number plates are wider and it will stick out to the left and possibly get caught on an obstacle. If you move it further to the right you won't be able to open the tailgate. Hence the custom bracket being offered around these parts - it has a hinge to fix that problem.

The same thing happened to my 2-door JK and dealer replaced the bumper mount with the factory mounting bracket located in the spare wheel. Only problem now is that there a 4 dirty great holes in my brand new bumper bar. eventually I'll replace with an aftermarket bar, but until the finances allow, I'm stuck with this one.
Not real happy with a brand new car with holes in it!! Following up with the dealer now what Chrysler plan on doing with it, but I'm not holding my breath.
Anyone else had any luck with this??

This was my effort after driving around for 3 weeks with no rear plate.

Socket headed cap screws, nylocks, aluminum plate and LED.

The bumper will rip off before the plate will move.

I placed it here because i wanted to cover the holes from the factory/dealer (lack of) effort

For all the QLDers that are having dramas with their plates, to save all this dicking around, duck into Queensland transport and order a set of "US style" number plates. Get ya self a rear yankee number plate mount (for the LH side), wack it on, no more probs. Looks heaps better than dodgey brackets

Yeah mine fell off somewhere in the simpson. I drove around for months with white duct tape stuck on as letters on my bumper. Looked pretty cool I thought!
