Default Custom Fab Cargo Net

Finally got around to making my cargo net for the back of my rig.
Took about 16 hours to sow up and measure. All the corners are velcro'd so any section can be opened.

Looks like seat belt nylon type material? Gaps are quite big though. What sort of usage is this for. Camping and touring for letting the air in? Would be intested to see how the net handles turbulance I can just see it flapping around a bit in the wind, (The net)
What does it velcro too?
I want to make somethng similiar but for over the front seats to store soft wondow from the door and rear in.
Well done.

yeah, seat belt webbing - 50mm. The gaps are wide so my dog can stick her boofy head out through it
The net is mainly to stop stuff flying out like my beach towel and to give my dog a sence of ownership. She gets a bit narky if people feel like putting thier hands into the back of her rig !
Have been up the freeway doing a 100k's and no flap noise. The net is entirely once piece so that keeps it taut.
The velcro joins are so if you want to access the sides or rear, you dont need to take the net off, just uncorner the area you want to access.
Regarding storing the windows, dam what a pain in the ass that is. I really hate Jeeps soft top windows system.
I reckon go with a Viking Softop.I have ordered one myself but they still havent started producing, end of October supposedly.

Looks good Col, but on a smaller note... Is it possible to get some kind of netting that fits across the inside of the tail gate so when you open it nothing falls out?

yep thats a good point. The neting finishes at internal wheel arch height. The last run of the netting secures around the base of the roll cage.
The problem taking it to the bottom of the tailgate/tub floor is there is nothing to secure too unless you wanted to drill in some tie down hoops.
In my case I needed a largish gap so my woofer could get in and out without me having to do anything.

But you should be able to get a bit creative and use some self tappers cause the fuel tank will prevent a nut a bold solution.
