Some other threads mention the Pacific Pines area, I have posted a map as well. Just need to search the section. Also Ormeau as well.

nah Ormeau is great as long as the idiots keep away with all there trash, and the richard heads who run over fences and want to wreck it for all, i was out there recently and went down this long very rocky track, i kept saying to the guy driving the other car " man i hope we dont have to go back up" he assured me all was ok, and it was we got out a dusk, there are some very tight spots i seriously doubt the land bruisers and and other blocks of home units could get through without damage

I do remember 2 years ago going up to the GC and hiring a Wrangler with the wife on our honeymoon and driving to a rain forest retreat out the back of Murwullimbah. We were driving for a while and finally came to a fork in the road that said in one direction "Rainforest Retreat" and in the other it said "4x4 Park". I stopped, looked at my new wife and she just shook her head, I knew I couldn't even ask. It then rained for about 4 days straight and all i could think about was the rain, the 4x4 park and the hire car. Later I was told I could drop in on the way back to the GC but when I got there it was closed due to the rain.... NOT FN FAIR.
Any hoo, there is a 4x4 park at the back of Murwullimbah and I have just found the photo I took to remember the cruel moment. I think the number says 02 66 79[or 8] 326

I'm real keen to get back in the KJ and have a crack at it but it's a 10 hour drive. Maybe over Chrissy.
If you head out there let us know how you go and post some pics!
