Thats the model i thought you may have, as it seems really good.
I have not tried the Snap On unit for engine diagnostics. I have used it for the ABS system and it is quite powerful. I could activate the ABS module and activate solenoids and pumps, as well as check wheel sensors and tone rings and the speed each wheel was registering. So i think the Snap On would have a lot of features when it comes to engine management.

I emailed the guys at http://www.1320electronics.com/ to ask if they could build a bluetooth obd1 scanner like they do for most GM cars. They got back to me and said they could not get the protocols for Jeeps, so that idea is out the window....

For the record the actron 9690 does not actuate injectors and relays. its a read only thing- except in can reset codes.
the auto x-ray i have does that but it is clunky and buggy, and no longer supported.
