made the same as every other manufacturer though, i've had multiple hits to the rear and it's just popped back into place . Not sure how much stronger you could make it without going metal

If it is made too strong, a small hit causes structural damage to the metal panels surrounding it, as you say it should be able to pop out.

Hi, I"ve been checking the pages for power steering rack issues but there are over 100 pages and its hard to spot topics. If anyone knows anything on power steering rack problems please point me to the page no the thread is on.

My issue is a weeping power steering rack, but its really slow. Ive topped the reservoir up and will keep a close eye on it.

If anyone knows of getting a replacement rack, I've been quoted $1200 for a reconditioned rack. The US market is LHD and the part number is different.

All help is appreciated

Mine has been using steer fluid and I found a very wet rack
boot on the driver's side today, not looking forward to replacing it as
the manual states the front k frame has to be dropped
I would be interested in hearing from those who have done this, and how was done..
