Default Steering box play

Ok so ive been chasing a steering vagness/looseness/wander and after replacing all balljoints TRE etc Ive narrrowed it down to the steering box so i adjusted it 1/4 turn and it felt better for a month or so now it has returned and seems to be worsening. So my question is am i wasting my time readjusting it or is there a replacement box thats better or aftermarket unit?? The stock unit struggles with 35's and hydro systems are available but seem expensive and use same box that will only flog out again. I cant be the first to experience this so please give me the lowdown on how to fix it.

Mine did the same and it turned out to be the shaft in the box itself was moving in and out.

You can go too far with adjusting it back it all the way off and then start again.

I have suffered the same with the 35's, new box does not last long before the "wander" starts to come back. From all accounts the ARG box fixes the issue, want the hydro steer as well in the end for additional strength and it is not much more than a decent steering dampener when you have the rest of the system.
ARG has a beefed up RHD unit with the ports for hydro steer for around $600 USD delivered. I will putting this unit and the matching pump next weekend, the hydro steer will come in the next few months once the new diffs go in. I also splashed out and got new everything from the steering wheel down to the pitman arm to remove every bit of play from 19 years or wear.

On my third box, cheap enough to get second hand ones and easy enough to change but now I am on my third one so it's time to spend some more coin and get rid of the issue for me.
