Default WK2 Lift kits. Got one?

Hi all,

I spent the weekend on some Vic High Country tracks. After ripping off the lower facia before leaving home the clearance was passable, just, but I want to add a lift kit and replace the 20" rims with 18" rims and AT tyres. So, lift kits, if you've actually had one fitted to your WK2 I'd really appreciate your input please:

What brand have you got? (Old Man Emu, Murchison etc.)
Had any issues you didn't expect?
How much did it cost roughly?
Are you happy with it?

Thank you!

I'm in the market for a lift kit too, I'm holding off for one that gives a GVM and/or GCM upgrade and am hoping the one Chief Products are working on does that. I really doesn't take a lot to lot to exceed the allowable GVM if you start adding any offroad gear let alone a decent towball weight.

Have they given you any indication on the TRU-LIFT availability? It could be vapourware, there is not even an ETA on the website.

like most chief releases atm .

as for gvm upgrades , especially with the ban of gvm upgrades on new vehicles as of last year the market for gvm upgrades in the gc circle would more than likely not warrant the r&d needed .

There is no ban on GVM upgrades. There is a ban on any new GCM upgrades being approved, ie if you have a 200 series Landcruiser you can still have a GVM and GCM upgrade done as that is currently approved. When the 300 series comes out a new GVM upgrade is able to be made available but a GCM upgrade is not.

2012 Laredo with factory lift, 18 inch wheels and Bridgestone A/T Dueler LTs.

Specifically for Victorian high country. Nothing extreme, but I take comfort in the fact I have a more capable 4x4 than a Y61 Patrol! (I was surprised)

What is a 'factory lift' mate? Do you mean standard non-Quadralift suspension?
