Basing this on a JKU 3.6lt Pentastar auto.

5.6lt of 5w30 for the engine. I prefer either Penrite or Nulon

4lt of 80w140 for both diffs. I prefer Nulon

8lt of ATF+4 for the Transfer case, automatic transmission and the power steering. It's the one thing I like to use from a dealership as nothing will kill an automatic transmission faster than the wrong fluid and using the remainder for the t/case and steering means I only have to carry one bottle of fluid as a spare.

5lt of Nulon RLL5 coolant

None of it is very difficult to do, it's just time consuming when doing it in your driveway.

Forget doing the auto on the floor.. I just done mine on the hoist and it was a pain and messy (need to undo gearbox mounts and lift up drive train to access oil pan bolts).
Messy too

Yup it's messy. If you have the ratcheting toolkit in the green pouch for removing the doors and hardtop, then you can fit that between the gearbox suport cross-member and the gearbox oil pan to loosen/tighten the oil pan Torx bolts without lifting the gearbox.

If you are going to drop it to drain the fluid, it might be a good idea to put in a fresh rubber oil pan gasket (I have no idea how long these last?). Watch out for the ATF on the exhaust pipes, that stuff is flammable.

You could also do what I did, and get a stick to tear a corner of the oil pan gasket and drain most of the fluid that way.

As an edit to my earlier post, a Ryco RTK92 is the transmission filter and rubber seal.

Available from Burson at a good price, (if you're in Melbourne message me and I'll be able to sort it all out for you at a great price).

Do the Wranglers with the Pentastar engine and autobox need their oil changed? I've read this in the Four-Wheeler magazine recently: "The Wrangler A580 gets a dipstick but it’s still considered a “fill-for-life” transmission that requires no maintenance. "

Get an oil hand pump, the front diff especially has very little space in which to tip a bottle for filling the diff.

I asked my dealership yesterday about the transmission, they said my 2015 Pentastar Auto will get the gearbox fluid changed at the next service of 48,000km (they will have to remove my bash plates).
