Fitted mine last week. works great although i did have trouble with the fitting rivets and buggered one hole before i through my hands up in the air and ended up using stainless pop rivets. i figured it is never coming off anyway.

Just ordered my AEV lift and snorkel

Excited

Finally remove the soft top out of it.
It is hard work with only 1 person and occasionally 1 other .

Default AEV Snorkel

Finally decided on an AEV Snorkel. Looked at Safari and Airtec but their 'complicated' bendy hosey things all over the place install was not for me. Ordered from JeepKonnection on Tuesday, delivered Thursday, fitted Saturday. Did the job myself. EASY with the right tools Took about 2.5hrs (with drinks).

Just bought mine! Ordered from Jeep Konection Friday morning, Arrived Monday Arvo! Top Stuff. I will be installing it tonight... today will be a looong day!

Question for those who have installed one..

Looking though the supplied instructions, it doesn't look to tricky. Obviously, the worst bit will be cutting into the hood!

Does anyone have any tips? Anything they learnt on the job??

Will post pics when all done!

* put painters tape on the hood where you want to cut and trace the outline of the stencil onto the tape

* keep the rest of the hood and engine bay covered so that no hot metal fragments can fly off and damage anything - it also helps to keep you focussed on what you are doing when you are cutting.

* measure, measure and remeasure again before cutting.

* if in doubt, cut less than you think is needed, you can always cut more later, you cant "uncut"

* the kit is designed to be pretty forgiving on your hole cutting skills, once the trim ring is in place, you cant see the edges of the hole you cut - just dont cut too much that you can't mount the ring in place.

* take your time

I didn't start with a hole saw as the directions tell you to do. I felt that there was too much chance for me to screw that up so I used a dremel with hard cutting discs for everything - I went through two discs from memory.
