I didn't start with a hole saw as the directions tell you to do. I felt that there was too much chance for me to screw that up so I used a dremel with hard cutting discs for everything - I went through two discs from memory.

Thanks mate. I think I saw in your post a pic with the masking tape on, so will do same.
And I think I agree with scrapping the hole saw. I've got a pretty steady hand, but I think I would be better with the dremel than with the hole saw!

The destructions suggest using touch-up paint or rust inhibitor on the cut surface. What did you use? I've just spoken with the dealers about a pot of touch up paint - $33 and will be in tomorrow. I figured this might come in handy at some point down the track so worth the coin.
I think I'll do it one night this week... will take plenty of pics and post it up when done.
