Default Non Jeeps in Jeep Clubs - What's your policy?

Just wondering what each club's policy is with members not having a Jeep.

Do you have a percentage of Non-Jeeps allowed?

There's some tricky grey areas to sort out in policy wording.

Do you let someone join if they are just thinking about getting a Jeep? (Maybe they want to ask lots of questions for a few months before getting one for instance. Maybe they like Jeeps, but can't afford one)

How does your club deal with long time members who are active in your Club and are good friends with everyone, but for some reason have sold that Jeep and bought a different 4x4?

Do they count in the percentage of non-Jeeps?

Social membership might be ok for people wanting to join but dont own a Jeep.
If someone was a member and has sold the Jeep they can renew each year and still have full membership. MJOC have a quota in the constitution for a X% of club members to be non Jeep owners.

So as social members, are they still covered by insurance on club trips?
Do they get voting rights on descisions?
Can they be on the comittee?
Do they still pay the same membership fee?

Club insurance policies may not include coverage for members on trips, I know of one case where a large club policy only covers the trip leader for liability. Individual damages etc has to be pursued through your personal policy.

The Sunshine Coast Jeep Club is open to all makes...

Although it's 99.9% Jeeps.

Insurance covers all paid up members, as long as proper protocol is adhered to on official club trips.

I don't know why you would get that policy, the policy we have through tcis cost 120 a year and covers all paid members for some ridiculous amount, 30 million off the top of my head, that's for public liability and protection for club members..

You are half way there OIIIO - The SCJC is open to all makes but we are only allowed a certain % of non-jeep owners in the club the same as the MJOC.

However the rest is correct, yep they are covered by insurance and also have the same rights in the club as any other member, they can be on the committee and pay the same membership fee.
