Has anybody done any logging to see what happened? I am wondering if it's a fail safe for the engine in case oil pressure gets too low. Being on a steep hill would have all your oil dropping to the back of the pan.

No it defiantly isn't because of low Oil Pressure. As stated in my previous post's it is to protect the drive train.

i know it's to protect the drivetrain but god damn it can be dangerous . I've watched a mate almost roll back down a hill and roll due to the computer deciding to just cut the engine completely . then this happened to me last weekend , was hardly flooring it or wheel off the ground. happens around 1:15 mark

Yeah, it is bullshit engineering and is dangerous. The overly aggressive traction control/torque management really spoils an otherwise great car.

No mate, only partially turns off TC/TM unfortunately.

Yep definitely Protection Mode. Lower your Pressures, bit more momentum or aggressive tyres will help.

Well.... I would rather be able to get back from nowhere without a recovery & associated cost for recovery & the Broken Parts Bill....
