Default Safari Snorkel tyre rub

Got a 2014 JK, original suspension, original wheels and tyres.

Installed a Safari Snorkel, and took it offroading with my front sway bars removed and am getting rubbing on t he snorkel.

Is this a common issue?!

I do plan a 2" lift, and possibly larger tyres and wheels in the near future, but now concerned the rubbing may be even worse.

Cheers,

Kris

That's rubbish. It's clearly not fit for purpose, there's no end to the bitching I would do to demand both a refund, and replacement guard.

You have to drill and cutthe metal panel, irreversibly cut up the arch liner, the wheel arch itself and the airbox so if need to replace them all!

To late now for that I think but I'll have a chat where I bought it from and see what they say.

I'm just suprised I haven't heard of issues like this before.

I would imagine that as soon as you mention that you disconnected your swaybar they will not want anything to do with you.

Yeah, self install, but the tolerances are very tight, I couldn't have fitted it out of position or it simply wouldn't have fit and fitment looks like other installs I've seen.

Rubicon has sway bar disconnects so can't see that should be an issue?

Did you have a look at fitting an AEV snorkel?
