Default Keyless Fob

Have a 2015 GC and have been getting dashboard messages re low battery in the key fob.
Replaced the battery and the vehicle does not recognise the fob.
Put the old battery in and the same result.
Had another looked in the owners manual and there does not appear to be any specific procedure to replace the battery.
Any suggestions??

Yeah that is strange mate. I've replaced the battery in my 2015's fob without issue. All I can suggest is to check the battery contacts are clean and not corroded....and of course the battery is in the correct way.

Try starting the vehicle by pushing the start button with the tip of the key. This may re sinc it.
Other wise the dealer may have to re program it in.

I had a similar problem. Turned out to be a dud no name battery. Replaced it with an "Eveready" branded one and now all is good.

my company work vehicle occassionally wont recognise the key fob when im in the vehicle, so wont start. i simply press the lock/unlock doors on the key fob and she will start after that. they can be very temperamental.
