Default REVIEW: WARN - Diff guard

The "WARN DIFF GUARDS" have been manufactured to the high standard that you would expect from this company. Available for Dana 30, 35, 44 and 60.

It has a tight fit around the diff centre, approx 1cm from touching so there should be no issues with
them either hitting the fuel tank, or front tracbar.

Molded shape follows the curves of the diff cover nicely. The fill hole for oil is nicely cut out on the diff guard for easy access.

On the install on the Cherokee, it was decided to use the OEM bolts, not the bolts supplied in the kit. This made it rather difficult to fit as the holes cut out of the cover for a spanner are very tight.

Angles are for a tight fit and structural rigidity, the diff skid plate fits both high and standard pinion covers to give full protective coverage. Since it is a closed system, it slides over objects and won't snag or hang up on rocks. Made from 3/16" steel.

The outside and inside of the diff guard. Molded very well to fit the original diff cover.

Step 1 Remove all the necessary bolts to fit the guard. If you havn't done a oil change for a while now would be a good time. With only removing 5 bolts the gasket should keep the OEM cover should stay in place and no oil will leak out.

Step2 There are allen key head bolts supplied which are the easier option to fit. You will find if you use the OEM bolts that you will have quite a struggle getting them in but with some persistance it is possible.

Step3 Stand back and admire your work. Yes it is a very simple install. Nothing to it. It should only take 30 minutes if you opt to fit guards on both front and rear diffs.

Yet to be seen how they hold up to some abuse but they look like they will do a nice job of it. Once some rocks are tackled will post further pictures.

Tools: 10mm spanner or allen key

Colour: Black or polished steel

Price: Approx $85 US

They look the goods but being a closed system it also looks like mud will fall in behing it and stay there. Very annoying
