Hey Tassie am I right in thinking that trailer is 7x4?
I'm getting the same tent and I'm looking for a trailer to marry it to, so just wondering about sizes. The tent bloke reckons I can get 6x4, 7x4, 7x5. Too many choices.
Oh how did you go with the height from the ground? Were you close to 1050mm?

This is a terrific thread! Trying to find myself a trailer at the moment so I don't have to start from scratch.
Out of interest how heavy is the checka plate?
Nice trailer and thanks for the knowledge sharing!

The axle came with the trailer, and the bits came with the brakes. Sorry cant help much, but l would try TJM in hobart or Nubco have a good range.

Well, took the camper to bruny island for a test run and see what works and what doesnt. The camper not finish, but went well. The two slide frames l built aren't strong enough to hold the weight and started to bend, which has put to much strain on the bearing and they broke. Going to put the tent up this weekend to give it a clean, l try to get pictures of the frame and bearings.

We dont like the kitchen to much so that will be redone, everything else worked well.

This winter, lots of work to be done.
