Default Narva free form headlights - Part #72002

Got some Narva free form headlight replacements today. Free form lamps basically mean that the reflector has been computer designed to do all the light directing and cutoff instead of the lens like that of the stock hellas. Lens is polycarbonate though instead of glass, interested to see how these hold up to scratching and chips. The look damn sexy too during the day when they're off.

http://www.narva.com.au/products/browse/free-form

Price $128 pair, globes included. - Coventrys

The brightness is the same since i have carried my IPF Fatboy Globes over to the new lamps so i wont talk about that. What i can say though is the cutoff in these things in bloody brilliant! Much much sharper than the stock hellas. When you are standing outside the Jeep looking at the headlights from the side they look like they are just park lamps the cutoff is that good!

Fitting needed a bit of trimming to the locating tabs to suit my 07 JK with headlight levelling, i don't know if others would all be the same? The set came with park lights installed with a couple of wires running out (which you would need to solder some spade connectors on if you were to use them) and a blank rubber grommet which i put a nice round hole in to suit the stock park light bulb holders.

1st pic - Low beam
2nd - High beam
3rd - side cutoff (down the fence on the right hand side)
4th - Narva on left stock hella on right

Photos were taken at 5:30 so still a fair bit of ambient daylight around to give a more accurate idea of what they're like. I'll get a better side cutoff photo tonight.

Looks good and great cutoff, might look at these to go with my plus 50s in the future!
Cheers Matt

I've been thinking about these for a while, but I put in a pair of +80s first (well, Narva's version, the Blue Power, which isn't really at all blue).

And since I just managed to crack a lens on the weekend...

How long did it take you to do the trimming they needed to fit in?

Maybe 5mins? About 20 mins from start to finish for the whole headlight install.

Wangara said they'd have to order them ex east with 14days eta, then they rocked up at work 3 hours later...?

If you ring they can tell you which stores have stock. The Narva part number is 72002.

Can these be installed by anyone who's completely useless at electrics?
