Its not so much the 'most' white, its the least of all other lower spectrum colours (reds) so the thats why they appear more blue, and also why they have a lower lumens output.

Personally I would go the lower temperature colour, I hate the ones with the blue tinge to them.

Well, I was going by the advertising blurb, it reads for the Extreme "Xray Vision Extreme ... with a deep blue coating that creates the ultimate white light..."

Like you I'd probably go for the "Outback" I'm also not a fan of the blue.

Yes, the blue coating filters out the lower frequencies, part of the reason for the lower output.

I have some some Narva Blue Power (chart), which are +80 and, despite the name, some of the least blue of the performance globes.

I'm loving this thread, mainly because the stock light output is so low I have to sometimes flick the headlamps on and off at dusk to make sure they are on. These are all good options it's going to be hard to choose.

so the Britax headlights with the Xray vision globes were fitted today... here's what they look like in daylight... I'll try and get some night time pics and describe the difference from stock.

I look forward to being able to see at night again!

EDIT: I went for a quick drive last night and the difference (without the driving lights) is unbelievable when compared to stock lights. The light ouput from these (which I have added the Xray Vision globes too) are very good, but the spread and cutoff is much much better as well. I'll try and get some pics next night drive.

As an a side - who has the IPF XS900 driving lights and who has bothered with upgrading the globes in those as well?

I cracked one of my stock lights on a trip last week...
Just went through TJM Parramatta for Britax lights.
Installed last night...
Fitted them up with my existing 55w HID kit...
Compared to the old Hellas, BRITAX ARE AWESOME!
Much better cut off so i think i will piss less people off...
The clear lenses look pretty sweet too...
Pretty easy changeover and a great fit...
TJM charge $85 a piece now...

I put Cibie Z beams in my JK about 5 weeks after I got it, and the diffeernce was considerable.
The Hellas are ok, but I think anything else is better!!!
