Default WG 2.7CRD OEM battery specs

My battery is approaching End Of Life so looking for a replacement.

When I looked I found the current battery's specs were lower than I expected. It's possible a PO skimped a bit on replacement so I'm trying to find what the original OEM spec was.

As far as I know it is DIN85LHMF. However, look for one with a high CCA. I had some trouble with mine and got one with 850 CCA. The regular ones have only around 700.

Thanks

The current one is an Exide 017 with 95 Ah 850 CCA which is lower than my two other (petrol) vehicles.

I'm looking at another Exide but this time 100 Ah 900 CCA which seems more reasonable.

I've been running an Exide EK950 since December or January. No troubles so far, I've also winched (engine on) a few times.

I've ordered the Exide EA1000 which appears to be a premium version of the EB950 currently fitted.

Another 5 Ah and 100A(EN) + 4 year warranty (instead of 3 yr). Only another £11 over the EB950.

I was also eyeing that out but went with an AGM purely because for a little while the Jeep will still have to drive short trips more often than long trips

Hi.
Fwiw. I have a 'Banner' brand on my WH. It is six years old and still tests as strong. That is with many, many sub zero starts. I will get another when this one finally dies.
