Not meaning to sound like a dumb arse, but does the GDE tune box act as a code reader as well?

Cheers, Craig

Clarky, are you going back to the dealer? Since the actuator is supposed to be replaced under the recall if found to be faulty.
I forget who it was, but someone here had the actuator replaced and the dealer confirmed that it is included in the recall.

I don't know the dealer who did the flash didn't impress me & I don't think another dealer would want there problem. At the moment I'm over it

sitting back & having a beer

I will probably give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

To save ya searching, here's the post from RJO-75 about getting his actuator replaced;
http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...8&postcount=59

And roscoe's post about Jeep Customer Service confirming that the actuator replacement is part of the recall;
http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...5&postcount=62

If your dealer (or another one?) doesn't play ball, might be worth dobbing them in to Jeep... wonder if Roscoe got a name & number for someone there.

My local dealer has always been terrible, so I'm interested to see how you go

Far out, this issue makes me even more reluctant to take the Jeep in. I don't want to lose the low range lol. I've never had a "service 4WD system" come up and I don't want this to be the beginning of dramas.

James, did you do yours?

No I haven't done mine, thinking the same thing as you.
Although another way to look at it is; if the software update causes the service 4wd errors, it probably indicates that our actuator is/was on it's way out and was at risk of shifting to neutral.

So I'm just seeing how everything pans-out first . Considering doing it over the christmas break when I can afford wasting time at the dealer... maybe.

Wonder if we can get the software update, then if we need an actuator just get the part at no cost and install it ourselves...?
Honda did that with an A/C recall for my wife's CRV.
After the experience I've had with Suttons Waitara, I really don't want them going anywhere near any of my cars with a spanner (or rattle-gun more like it.).
