Default 2005 WJ 2.7 Diesel getting wet on DS floor

I have just purchased a 2005 WJ 2.7 CRD Grand Cherokee, it is getting wet on the drivers side floor, it does not have a sun roof and it hasnt rained or been washed with the window open.

Can any body help.

Lift your carpets and check it out. Could be heater matrix leaking. Could also be the air con evaporator drain clogged which goes through the firewall but I thought that was on passenger (left) side. That's less likely to affect drivers side but easier to check. Heater core should give you a coolant smell and maybe colour on the floor.

Thanks I have the carpets up I just havent been able to see where the water is coming from, but still looking.

If its dry, sprinkle talc powder around then hit the outside with the hose might be lucky to find a snail trail, hose engine bay and don't forget the cable run near the door hinges.

Can also be caused by poorly fitted windscreen.
