Default Roc trac swap

What is needed to swap my sports 2.41 transfer case for a roc trac 4.1 transfer case , into a crd auto 2008 model?

from what i understand just the transfer case. Apparently on 12+ models you need to reflash the computer but the earlier models should work no problem

Nothing except the case....... if its out of a similar year model.
Things got a bit more complex later on so your after an early case.

i have heard the sports transfer case is better for sand driving

obviously the rubi one is better for crawling though

No...as long as its an early case they are interchangable.
Once you get later in the year models things are different but 08 - same.

Yes the 3:1 case IMHO is better in the sand... 4:1 is just too low and you cant get enough runup speed for those big dunes.

No OE setup is perfect, you need to decide on the most common type of off roading you do. If you want to really splash out buy an ATLAS case

Yeah 4:1 is too low for sand but I've never had a problem with 4hi on the beach even in really soft sand. There's not too many dunes around here though
