Everything else would have been put on a rubicon anyway if I went that way like winch, suspension, bars etc
Crazy how a lot of people on the American sites say the sport is if you only do 'mild' off-roading. I spent 14 years taking my un locked IFS hilux to many places it shouldn't have gone according to them!

I can say how impressed I am at the Jeep's BLD system....it works pretty well.
I wouldn't mind a locker, but for what I've been doing I haven't needed one.

A Rubicon with a simple 2" lift and a set of 33" mud tyres will runs rings around any equivalently modified 4WD on the market.
The 4:1 transfer case, D44 front end and front and rear lockers are worth every cent, the transfer case alone allowing you to crawl in 1st Low between 0 - 1km/h makes crawling up hills a breeze.
What's the comparison rate on stock D30 V D44 bending 5:1?

Well I've gone and done it.
Put a deposit down on a 2008 Black Auto Rubicon
After much consideration, I figured that I will end up fitting diff locks etc to a Sport if I got one.
Pick the Rubi up Tuesday.
Cheers, Craig

I don't think any one has ever regretted paying a bit extra for a Rubi over a petrol sport.
