So I was looking at my 08 JK 4 door yesterday and notice the front end dips quite a bit. Eyeing it off, using the brickline behind the car it looked from the rear to the front of the Hardtop to be almost a 'brick' difference. Not sure on how to 'officially' measure, however its near on 8 - 10cm difference in height between the rear and front (just before its slants to meet the windscreen). I just tape-measured from the ground to the hardtop.
So I have an OME 2" lift kit, I believe the front springs are a type to compensate for winch/bullbar which were fitted at the same time 4 years ago. The Hardtop has only been re-fitted (winter and all coming) 2 weeks ago. I'm sure that would be enough to time for any sag owing to the extra weight of the hard top to take effect.
I see SBROffroad offer a 1" spacer, given the negative comments I've seen using spacers would this be an 'ok' situation in which to use them. Don't really like the front end dip feeling on driving and don't want the arse bogged down on loading it up (hence only the 1" spacer), plus I have to remove the springs this weekend to finish the welds on the C gussetts anyways. Any advice, other than buying new springs as cant afford it atm, muchly appreciated.

Nothing wrong with spacers to correct a lean or level a vehicle especially I it brings it back to the level it was intended by the springs. It also a cheap and viable option without spending a bucket load I money.
Spacers can be frowned upon if our lift your vehicle and not change shock length, bump stops etc just for height

Actually that's not quite right. You want to get the height in relation to the axle. by measuring where you have you've included the rim in the equation. to measure it properly you need to go from the centre of the rim to the under side of the flare. This way people with 16", 17" and 18" wheels will all get the same measurement.
To the OP, using a spacer is fine for a temporary fix, I did it after fitting a heavy front bar winch combination. However the springs will continue to scrag out over time. Meaning in the long term I'd look at some new springs. Spacers are a cheap way of correcting the sag like wranglertj has said.
