plan to do the following on the weekend.

1) rear sway bar stabilisers and bushes.
2) Adjust the damn parking brake shoes. I cant get it to hold the car with 7 clicks of the hand brake.
3) Fix the side mirrors as they dont fold in . gear mechanism seems to be grinding inside
4) See if I can fix the leak in the power steering hose by trying a few o-rings.
5) Align the steering using the string method.

Smelled diesel yesterday when parking the Grand. It ended up being a split return hose between cylinder 4 and 5. Luckily I have spare return line hose with me.
The hose came off with very little effort and I decided that I will replace the others but none would budge off, so they stay on until further notice...or leaks

well pretty ordinary results on the weekend.

1) Replaced the rear sway bushes and stabiliser links and while it did stiffen the the rear end a bit - Im still hearing the clunking noise over undulating terrain.
Back underneath i go..
2) While underneath, noticed a diff oil leak on the inside of both rear rims.
So its looks like new axle seals. No wonder the parking brake isnt working. Must be bathed in diff oil.

3) and 4) no time.
5) Aligned the front with 1.8 inch toe in using string and jack stands. On a test drive, Im fighting it less but it still pulls to the LEFT. I may have to take it to the wheel aligners or it might be a case needing that offset upper toe ball as per the TSB.

Fitted a short ram intake. Lot more room in the bay on LHS. Small loss of torque down low, barely noticeable, very noticeable gain mid range or higher revs, much better throttle response. Sound - quieter on startup, very different note when going through the revs, sounds nice. Works well so far in Brisbane winter, not sure how well it will do come summer and higher temps or working hard in the sand.
