gotta love the dealerships I had fun with a 'reputable' mitsubishi dealer here in adelaide with my 01 verada. Got it fixed and now I dont drive it because I have the jeep. Dont let it discourage you from the jeep though because they are incredibly strong. Mine likes to spin the back wheels for extended periods of time and although now Ive stopped doing that it hasnt given me any trouble..... top gear burnout smokes a fair bit too

i bought my tj from a mazda dealership had a similar thing, rear main went took them 11 days to fix and lasted a month, powersteering pump was gpne they were trying to tell me nothing was wrong wiht it and they wont fix it battled with them for a few months and ended up having jeep fix the pump and got them to pay for jeep to do the rearmain properly which took them one day and i got a hire car for $20 for the day, was so happy with the service from jeep, but newcastle mazda has upset me and lost all my trust in car yards, i will only buy private now and have a pre inspection done, if i was in your shoes i would not stand for it take it to consumer affairs, call the local radio station from where you bought it but dont let them walk over you stand up and be heard
