i've tested this towbar and had a compiance plate added on. so all good,

and from computer simulation the towhooks can handle 3.8 ton static load before seeing any permanent set on the towbar, so basically the car will bend before the bar.towhook. wranglers are only rated to 1 ton

and yes i'm very happy with it.

How sturdy is it?
Duz it flex back and forth hiting ya tail gate?
Duz it rattle?

I'm half way into making pretty much the exact same thing but i've had doubt's put into my head about the weight of everything hanging off the rear like that.

it swings maybe 5mm either way when going over bumps. The tail gate is 50mm away, so it's miles away so to speak.

no rattles, as long as the rubber stopper is adjusted properly. I did however install a spring on the release leaver because that was rattleing. Now all sorted.

and i can sit ontop of the tyre when it's full loaded an still feels very sturdy.
