Default JK shocks on a TJ?

Hi all,

has anyone tried JK shocks on a TJ? Is there a way if extending the length for a 2.5 to 3" lift?

I'm trying to achieve a soft OME ride, I have fitted Teraflex long lower control arms on my three inch Black Diamond lift kit and was real happy but...

I got replacement Black Diamond shocks sent out by Quadratec and I'm finding them too firm, I was hoping they might soften up a bit but after 5000+ K's are still driving like a short arm rig. I don't remember the BD shocks being so stiff. I'm thinking of trying JK shocks seeing how they're cheap enough and I don't mind sacrificing some articulation for comfort.

Also, I believe the Rubicon shocks are one inch longer then the base model?

Thx

And can you recommend a aftermarket shock for a three inch lift that rids like an OME rig?

I've tried/driven so many over the last twenty years and they all ether ride like shite or just way too firm so...

Again

You might have to change springs as well.
I have Old Man Emu shocks and springs.
Heaps of flex , soft ride .
Only downside , drops when fully load with camping gear

Teraflex have bought out a TJ version for the Falcon shocks. A lot of the JK guys running them love them

On the softest setting they are OK but the valving is like 50/50 it's not really ideal - way too much rebound.

Anyone like a set of near new Rancho RS9000 for sale to suit a TJ with 3-4" lift, $350
